Zoe’s Quest |
Students explore the different relationships between people and the land. The story thread approach uses environmental narrative, analysis and ‘problem based’ learning which challenges the students to respond as active citizens and solve an environmental dilemma.
Activities
The story begins at school followed by a 3 day visit to Birrigai at Paddy's River and Tidbinbilla where crucial story moments unfold. The students are empowered through the story to find ways to help Zoe save the bush from destruction. The students become scientists and detectives and piece together their own ending to the narrative back at school. A specific focus is the way the bush is able to regenerate after a major fire event.
